Who is eligible?

Current students who are studying at NUS-affiliated organisations are eligible for an NUS extra card. You can either buy direct from www.nus.org.uk and collect your card from your students' union, or go down to your union and ask to purchase your card.

How do I claim my NUS Extra discount for Amazon.co.uk?

Sign into your account on www.nus.org.uk.

Click on the Amazon discount page, under discounts, then enter your NUS Extra card number (the 18 digit card number on the front of the card), without any spaces. Your Amazon.co.uk promotional code will then be displayed.

Take a note of this code, then on the Amazon.co.uk website, select the items you wish to order using your shopping basket (please note you cannot use the 1-click shopping method when redeeming a promotional code).

In the order form you'll see a box that says "Have a gift certificate or promotional claim code?" Enter your promotional code into the box and click the "Apply" button.

This promotional code will automatically appear next time you check out at Amazon using your username.

 

Cancel Card Order

Once your order has been completed, we cannot cancel the order going into production.

However, NUS Extra operates a 14 day 'cool off' period, where you are eligible to return your card and receive a full refund. These 14 days begin when you receive your card.

I have lost my card

To order a replacement card you need to log into your account on www.nus.org.uk. Once you are logged in click the link in the top left of the screen 'My Account' then click 'Replacement Cards'

Replacement cards cost £4 and will take approximately 7-10 working days to be sent to you. The card will be delivered via the original delivery method. If you have forgotten your log in details please use the forgotten password function on the login page of the website.

 

I have changed my place of study, can I change this on my card?

Unfortunately, you cannot change your place of study on your account, therefore we are unable to issue a replacement with a different place of study on. If you have moved to a different organisation during the validity period of your NUS Extra card, unfortunately you will need to purchase a new NUS Extra card with your details on.
