BUCKS POLL

Other Rep Opportunities

Senior Rep Initiative

Senior Reps don't just attend course level committees, they also attend Faculty and University level committees, passing student feedback directly to the decision makers at the top. There will be 1 Senior Rep per department and any student elected as a Student Rep can put their name forward for the role. They will have to submit a CV and attend a short interview with Union staff to get the job (nothing too serious but great practice!). Senior Reps will be paid an additional £25 on top of the £100 they already receive as a Student Rep for their efforts.

Flat Reps

Being a Flat Rep will put you in the centre of the social activities going on in your flat. You will be our key contact, so you will get to find out everything that is going on in the Union and the wider University as soon as we do. There will be social events each term so you can meet other Flat Reps from other halls. You will get to know all the people working down in the Students' Union and be able to gain more access to the services we offer.

Bucks Power

The Students' Union have created Bucks Power, a group that seeks to give students a more informal route to submitting feedback. We will contact you throughout the year and ask you what you think about the big issues. These could be anything from course closures and new facilities to the quality of taching you receive.

We will let you know what the University is up to and what the Union is doing about it. All you have to do is talk to us: this be via text, email, facebook, or YouTube. In return we will make you one promise; you won't have to attend stuffy meetings! You will also be the first to know about campaigns we are planning and how to get involved. Whether that is sending an email to the Vice Chancellor or joining us at a demonstration. Members of Bucks Power will also be eligible for spot prizes throughout the year.

Join our Facebook group Bucks Power for more information.
